Following as a sheep is a pestilence,
what you bring has real value
in this world and every other –
you bring wisdom
and lay it at my feet as if
it were my feat rather
than your own.
a thinker,
a protector,
a soul resurrector
even when my soul-pulse
needs re-ignition.
You are loyalty and
I hear you with all that I am.
