Masonic Secrets

She wears tight country girl shorts and a halter top with her navel exposed. She is unsure if the tomato pesto bagel topping in stock. It is. He drinks four cups of coffee. “Are you going to want another?”
     “Why do you ask?”
“Because you have drunk us dry. I’ll have to brew more decafe to supply your voracious thirst! We don’t keep the less potent stuff ready because most want their brew caffeinated to stay alert while studying at night. But I take it you aren’t enrolled in the college?”
“I am a student of life who doesn’t require classroom walls to learn.”
“But then you look a bit grey to be a college student. In fact, you are too salt to be rapping with a millennial.”
“My degrees are useless for a career. So the bohemian life is for me.”
She replies, “I plan to move to Key West upon graduation which will require mucho dinero.”
“Live on the beach. It will be worth it.”
“You look mesmerized by my belly button. I should be a hypnotist with my navel instead of a crystal. Mine is an innie which could charm a snake.”
“Or the pants off a man.”
“Mr. what profession do you take mine for? My subliminal talents are for dropping bad habits like giving up soda drinks. What compulsions would you like to be free of?”
“Eating ice from my drinks. It plays havoc with my dental work.”
“Ah, the mystery is revealed. I and the girls had a bet going on who would be the first to discover why you request your water without ice.”
     “What prize did you win?”
“We pooled dollars together and whoever wins gets the money. Last I checked it amounted to thirty dollars, enough for a hair styling session.”
“Now, I’m going to guess why you expose your belly button, for the customers, the male patrons I’d reckon.”
“Those are secrets coded into the Masonic ring never to be spoken outside the mysteries of the fellowship.”
“A riddle decrypted by many but spoken of by few.”
“The enigma of your ice was more puzzling than my wardrobe.”
