Rings of Uranus
the Rings of Uranus
above a blue sky
on the edge of perception
with unaided eye
when viewed from the Earth
two light hours away
unexpectedly finding
things we can't say...
no words exist
no metaphor
for the unusual
which we've looked for
Earth is a marble
Uranus a ball
Miranda a moon
which answers our call
for a place nearby
somewhere close to
the Rings of Uranus
with a great view...
everything's moving
while we're sitting still
our bodies on Earth... -
enjoying the thrill
