Spanish Lips
“I love you darling,” that’s what I told you.
The sun was shining through the summer house.
Your Spanish lips were like a red carnation.
“I love you too,” that’s what you said to me.
You sat down beside me in a wooden chair.
I felt your passionate embrace in the morning.
You wore a long yellow satin dress with a bow.
And you had a bouquet in your left hand.
I looked at you for a while and then I said yes.
“I’ll love and cherish you for the rest of my life,”
That was the promise we made in the garden.
And then I kissed your Spanish lips softly.
