The DUP Effect
Warning
May cause moments of spontaneous inspiration and the need to write poetry.

Cutting meetings short to capture an idea.
Pulling over at the side of the highway and sending a text message to yourself.
Rising out of bed in mid REM to document a dream.
Writing single lines on important documents.
Scanning natural environments for hidden secrets.
Ordering Amazon Prime in order to get a next day delivery of a digital recorder.
Carving words into a wall when a pen runs out of ink.
Composing poems in all forms of catastrophe.
A general and ravenous desire to render all things into words, including impressions of art, music, movies, life events, the experiences of others, plants & animals, everything under the sun & beyond.
If you feel you are experiencing any of these symptoms. You are not alone. There is an entire sub culture of beings that are on similar paths, and when you see them, you will recognize one another, from even the greatest of distances, and you will exchange energies that are mutually edifying, sending away all shadows of a sinister nature.
DO NOT call a doctor or physician. You are your own doctor & physician. WRITE.

Yes...
Never owned a recorder... Always wrote down or kept in mind. Received today via Amazon Prime. Doing my innovation of sensory deprivation chamber. Will tote with me also. A new experiment. I admire the prolific output that I have encountered.

Ah yes! the DUP effect. I recently passed my 1 year mark and I have no idea how that happened including having posted over 100 for someone who had little intention of posting. It's amazing how often we find inspiration to write anywhere and anytime. I really enjoyed this! :)

This poem resonates with me deeply. More times than not, my poetic muse likes to run through my mind whenever I'm driving. There has been many of great poem ideas that I've had, only to forget them once I had an opportunity to write. Glad to see that I'm not alone. Great poem. I've gone through several of your poems thus far and I like them all. Keep 'em coming.

Yes... It is one thing to retain a general understanding of the idea, however, there may be very nuanced and faceted beauty that you would also like to retain, that is not so easily achieved.
I purchased a pretty cool Sony digital recorder for 8$! on AMZ, it was 60$ brand new, but this one was refurbished on clearance. It is really cool. Just a flip of a switch and you can just start recording, and it keeps each recording as an individual file...
I think it is good... If we envision an idea as a sort of a landscape, a strange and alien landscape, in which we suddenly find ourselves... It is good to have the recorder to document every nuance and detail possible, while in that space.
Maybe something to consider.
