Love is daybreak, it is the dawn.
Love is sunset, fragrant evening coming on.
Love is nightfall and the wishing stars,
And all the heavenly diamonds lying just beyond.
Love is the day to day, the ordinary, and the plain,
And love oft the more exquisitely so remains,
Else why does love delight dancing in the rain
As much as walking arm in arm along the Seine?

And love is hopelessly more than I can find the words
Love is toxic to the death and the sweetest breath of life.
Love is bound in silken cords
And with boundless emotions rife.

And yet, love in silence and unspoken
...withheld and unrevealed...
Speaks of a heart too long broken
Seems a robbery and a cell.
And perhaps that and doubly so,
Tho' this is is deeper than I know
As is all of love,
And so,
Again, I shall ponder thoughts thereof
And yet, the silence seems familiar
Wherein the heartstrings faintly quiver

Kiss me wordlessly with your eyes
A look to make me draw my breath
Before diving in
To taste the urgency of your kiss
As if a raging, foaming surf
Sweet nectar of the gods - and all be lost
Yet, in earthly heaven found.
Just once to live within your arms.
Once within your kiss to drown.
