my butterflies begat a zephyr
that flipped our calendars to may.
fear grips the summerís heat:
it will wilt what was.

by nature
time passes.
timeís passing
and times passed.

watch as momentary newness
struggles to catch every falling october leaf.
raking together the missed into a pile
to relish in it anew. smile,
there is always a way back to timeís
forever fleeting antithesis:
now. oh,

my dear beloved,
there is only now.

writing a poem for my partner, would love some feedback... my goal was for it to be a reminder that worrying about what's going to happen in the future takes away from living in the moment and "now"...
writing a poem for my partner, would love some feedback... my goal was for it to be a reminder that worrying about what's going to happen in the future takes away from living in the moment and "now" is the only thing we rightfully have, and we should take advantage of it... ??? not sure if that comes through
