Senryu - Triptych: Going Absolutely Bananas

Mmmm banana nut bread! ... (I use dark chocolate chips in mine too!)... Nom Nom Nom Nom.... Tell the kids those spotted Nana's are good for smoothies, too!! 👍🏻 🤷🏻‍♀️.... Lmfao.
My most hated thing about bananas is that 'banana string' that's in the seems after you peel it! .... ugh!! I loathe that.... I can't eat it and I make sure every edible nunu (my banana 🍌 nickname) is SANS nunu strings....

You had me at bananas ... I go to a yoga retreat in Costa Rica at least once a year (except during COVID) ... the resort only does vegetarian ... they keep a platter with fresh bananas out all day ... swap them out when they start to get brown ... of course brown bananas make the best banana bread ... with walnuts of course ... nice job GW ...

I remember at least one poem  that you wrote bout your beautiful Costa Rican experience;. That's where you took that beautiful balcony or deck pic, right? I love their banana bowl idea.
I used to hate walnuts in anything. I liked the taste but they would raise these painful bumps in my mouth after I's eat them;. I guess I'm cured because I've been using them on salads lately.🌹🙏

Now I’m craving banana pudding with nilla wafers! I really like the message of digging a bit deeper because there’s usually a hidden gem inside a spotty banana peel. Just don’t slip on one because then that’s a law suit.

I cannot eat them with spots 95% of the time, I have to smell them and if they smell rotten I will not eat them, I mean, they can be yellow with the faintest of likes specks.  It taste rotten to me.

Thank you so much, LJ🌹🙏 That's a shame that you get that rotten taste. I wen for years not eating bananas because they gave me terrible heartburn. That stopped in my 40's and now I eat them at least one a day...oranges do give them stiff competition.
