The Dance

Dancing gracefully in the twilight
she deftly weaves her magic spells
for at the darkest hour of midnight
you hear the sound of tinker bells

Moonlight on her gossamer wings
shimmering eerily in the hinterland
waiting patiently on magical things
it heralds the arrival of dreamland

All the creatures great and small
are spellbound with rapt attention
quietly gathering to answer her call
spanning from another dimension

Even the trees listen in wild wonder
while she dances and sings her chant
soon night's sky will be rent asunder
and her garden will be ready to plant
