ground littered with
dreams and prayers
all that�s left now are
scratches and scars
played once too
many with sanity slayers
no longer will you
fly among the stars

finally destroyed
drank too much trust
shame is now left to
cover your naked
bared breast for the
rusty dagger thrust
innocence a picture
worn and faded

no matter how you try
cant seem to shake
when your eyes close
shadows stand there
always lose, no matter
the path you take
you start to fantasize
soft skin so fair

those sleepless nights
nothing to regret
taken so many times
in different styles
the sensual shivers
hours drenched in sweat
sleep late to wake
with satisfied smiles

carved memories still
drive you insane
in the back of your mind
where it still plays
felt the touch as he
drank your champagne
now you have clipped
