History spirals outward from Earth  
pollinating space with our trials  
and tribulations condensed  
into chorus accompanied stanzas;  
novelties as opposed to novels  
personal to fairy taled stuff  
become dandelion fluff  
usually sung to music  
with a measure of vocal  
discipline  
 
when not shouted  
or worse  
throatscreamed  
 
Humankind's playlist  
traversing the Universe  
in waves of radio signals  
 
It's a lot to take in  
---broadcasted tracks, each  
a unique vibration with potential  
enough to alter the course of one's life  
 
instead of you entertaining  
the same songs on shuffle and repeat  
in thought ever since you first stood  
before the orchestra pit as conductor  
of your own lifelong symphony

You'll eventually shuffle  
off this mortal coil regardless  
 
returning to live out alternative  
hers or his stories rather than  
repeating mistakes  
 
but it's never too late  
to change your tune  
 
All it takes is listening to  
something inspiring
