Everytime the Sun comes

Everytime the Sun comes

I know I'm supposed to be grateful for a brand new day, but everytime the Sun appears you have to go away

When the moon is in the sky, you are in my arms, kissing me so tenderly, we are sharing lovers charms

Skin to skin, bodies wrapped, together as if we're one, then I'm on my own again, when i greet the morning Sun

But at nightfall I find you, my pillows placed beneath your head, facing me and smiling, we're lying on my bed

My arms around you, we make love throughout the night, our hearts beating in perfect time, as our lust takes flight

Your warm breath on my face, a smile brighter than the fullest moon, but I know once the Sun arrives, this will end to soon

So the Sun may bring warmth and life, it may start the day again, but for me it's a double edged sword, it also brings me pain.

It's the start of a loveless day, paralyzed broken all alone, left to write poetry, on my mobile phone

Poems of my wondrous dreams, stanzas of the girl I wish was here, instead of the lonely reality, to which I shed a tear
