Puppy Killers
Is this where they are
~ that fortress
perched by the park ~
a multi-national bird of prey
tearing its kill
(that's me and you)
from within a mountain
of mirrored glass
Who knows just what they do
link fenced away
in camera view
unofficially snug
inside their global HQ
Google told me
they make 600 million tubes
of toothpaste every year
committed to improve
life's human quality
to feel better and live longer
so we may all do
just a bit more
They say:
'together we
can make life better'
~ but for who?
Every day I watch
the white faced crowd
filing through their doors
focused on their missions
guarding hush-hush secrets
secure on sixteen floors
And I wonder
why those puppies
never leave
