The end (The Poet pirate series part 6)

The battle was raging fiercely, pistols fire and Cutlass clash, the deck was full of carnage, destroyed by the cannon's flash

Men getting wounded, there was death and gore abound, screams of pain and battle cries were shouted all around

The Blushing blade was fighting hard, the fight was in full swing, many men died at her hand, they felt her Cutlass sting

The Poet was chopping men to pieces, his Flintlocks sent shot fling through the air, he was looking for the Blushing blade but couldn't see her anywhere

He spotted her finally, she was on the Quarter deck, he saw her grab a naval man and slice him through the neck

Just as he got close, the Naval captain had just took aim, the Blushing blade was set in his sights, the Poet knew his game

He swung across the Quarter deck, as the musket ball took flight, he felt the searing heat of pain, but he what did he knew was right

All seemed to go still and quiet, he was lying on his back, though battle ragged around him, but somehow he just lost track

The next time he opened up his eyes, he was in his lovers arms, she was smiling down at him, with all her loving charms

They both knew this was the very end, nothing more needed to be said, he knew it was over, soon he would be dead

So he forced himself to look into her eyes, he told her she would of have been the perfect wife, she kissed him for the last time, and that was the end of the Poet Pirates life
