The Milk of Paradise
Many times I wondered about that special place
That mysterious space
Where time inside the realm does not pass or move
Wondering what would it be like not to age or get old
From what I’ve been told
As madness settles in then being completely consumed
A curse can sometimes come as a blessing in disguise
Like the milk of paradise
An unending thirst that never satisfies or fills the soul
So in the curiosity one can hold with secrets and despair
Beware of the lurid fanfare
Or else you’ll fall prey to the illusion you’ve been sold
What may feel like heaven on earth
Or ultimate bliss
Has consequences of the utmost gravity
When falling into the abyss
