Doubts ringing true

I had doubts running through mind,
I didn’t believe you were on my side.

Today you told me that you didn’t believe the new meds would make a difference,
And I make excuses for all your bitterness.

I know there is no guarantee,
But you said the meds weren’t the problem; the problem was me.

You exclaimed that in me you had no confidence,
For your doubt I alone faced the consequence.
