Sing Louder.  Buy cheaper.

I bought myself a new solar panel
to try to save the world.

It said, 'Made in China' on it.
Probably produced in a coal powered
solar panel factory

But it was cheap, and convenient.

I didn't sleep well last night
The road traffic kept me awake.

The birds must have a similar problem.
Do they now sing louder to each other?

I fixed the panel to my caravan roof
 to power my 12volt television.

That was 'Made In China' too.

They buy coal from Australia.
The world's largest exporter of coal.

The caravan and I want to get away from it all
You know, emerse ourselves in the echoes of nature.

It somehow feels different watching the TV
in a remote spot.
With the birds singing to each other
quietly.

The kettle whistling back.

It helps with the loneliness, to see people now and again
Entertaining themselves on that Chinese made TV.

They are good at making things cheap and convenient, the Chinese.
