Perfect Love

I search for you in fits and starts
In mystic law and mythic art
In the fullness of the deep blue sea
In sacred text and geometry
In sacrificial trials and proverbial truths
In the smoldering embers of eternal youth
In the seventh wonder
In the seventh son
Where passion begins
Where it's dead and gone
In the spectre the the sacred of the righteous and the mighty
In the bossom of Adonis and Aphrodite
It is from this vantage point I finally see through
To all of the false perfection I have projected onto you
This ugly expose I sullenly spare
You the tedium to watch or the burden to bare
I now bring these narcissistic years' long confusion to its end
I implicitly, imperfectly love you, my friend.
