Plaid December says cat to cardinal

I think I want to stay!
my grilled cheese "bye" was stiff as rye
lets talk awhile and play.

my lights hang out in snowless yards,
but your lights to the winters brim.
those sapphire dice
sweet eyes like mice
I lick my paws and grin.

you had your chance,
says cardinal to cat
cause all you saw was cheese.
my feathers ruffed
but choice is tough
I'm bored lets dirty knees.
