Shades of a silk covered Chrysalis
the mist of comfort a vapour trail  
memory shared with a little kiss  
borne on the wings of a swallowtail  
 
Drawn in by a coquettish flutter  
and refinement of your promenade  
I’m left with words to sweet to utter  
as I stroll along the esplanade  
 
Life bursts from a taffeta cocoon  
the sweetest release from fibrous chains  
wings drawn on the canvas of the moon  
brush the endless fields and open plains
