Testament

The rain is the same today as yesterday and
will be tomorrow. Always you are the same.
You cleanse me and wash away all the
sadness and the sorrow.

Saw you the other day on the cover of a
magazine and they asked if you were real.
I am in awe of you as the sun of righteousness
rises with wings and the power to heal.

Mighty rainbow of living colour, you know all
and hold it all together. I find rest in you and
you take my burden and make it as light as a
feather.

A quiet whisper echoes on in the silence of my
mind. It reminds me to fear not the path I tread.
For your fire burns inside of me and my light
shows that I am not dead.

Too much was given to those things I cannot
change but my past is no longer in my present.
These dreams have been restored and my life you
did re-arrange.

So I look not to the left or right for you brighten the
night. When you are near you strengthen me.
Your hope is on the horizon and I keep you in
my sight.
