What a Curious Song You Play

What a curious song you play;
dulcet chords, deep and mellow.
It strikes me in the oddest way,

like violent skies at end of day.
Fingers to string, chest to cello,
what a curious song you play.

Upon inspection, I see the way
you play yourself as lonely fellow.
It strikes me in the oddest way.

Your theme betrays naivete.
If pressed too hard, you'll cause a bellow.
What a curious song you play.

The bow is bent, hair is array;
zig-zag sounds, strong as bargello.
It strikes me in the oddest way.

Your flourish commands that I should stay.
You are bone deep, into the marrow.
What a curious song you play.
It strikes me in the oddest way.
