Life
Life is not easy
It is complex not simple
Thus living is hard
Life's reality
Is cruel, harsh and harder
Than you imagined
It's an ugly truth
You'd rather not face at all
But turn away from
Life is a vast sea
That can drown you in its depth
If you cannot swim
You need to be strong
To navigate its water
And see its beauty
Living takes courage
It's not for the faint of heart
Who escapes from life
It is for the brave
Who never quit from a fight
But persists to win

Dear S,
I quite agree and hope to cross that finish line with some semblance of sanity preserved. Today would not be a good one to judge however.
