THIS CREATION WE ARE  (reflection of a pessimistic optimismist; undated)

we strive and strain
to know
and say so much
such pains
we take
to show or prove
we are something
special
we have done
this
we have done
that
we own
this
we own
that
we know
this
and that
we are
this
and that
most of us
think
feel and believe
we are all
so self important
so unique so big
and there are
so fucking
many of us
so many intermingling
little galaxies
within ever fractaling
galaxies
of self blinded
conflictive
colliding
ego spun minds
and lives
so relentlessly
so desperately searching
for any
and every little
insecure
lonely crumb
of social recognition
of personal
validation
of our significance
in this world
of acceptance
friendship
of love
wherein were all
caught up
in the same
treacherous currents
of this relentlessly
challenging
world
and these even
crazier times
struggling through
its seemingly
never ending
continuous chaos
its constant peripheral
demands and noise
one day
at a time
just enough
to stay afloat
which even if
one succeeds
life
these days
more often than not
feels more like
survival
than living
most of the time
yet somethings
increasingly missing
absent  forgotten
or been lost
in mankinds great
blind disconnect
in its gross
spiritual separation
from nature
and in its own
still as yet
unawakened sense
of place
and our
inseparable oneness
with and within
this sacred worlds
greater
living
conscious whole
where as
a generalized whole
most of us
still
appear to be
more sensitive
and in awe
of and to
our own creations
than to this
even more wondrous
miraculously amazing
creation
we each and all
most truly are
which sounds like
a fairly pessimistic
perspective and take
especially coming
from a usually
mostly positive optimist
like me
based solely on
all the undeniable
vast  collective evidence
of our mostly
dark
self destructive
crazy species
violent history
here upon our
too long
wearied
deeply sickened
precious mother
earth
