Nobody Takes the Train
Nobody takes the train anymore
The tracks are disappearing
Nobody is honest anymore
No matter how endearing
We lie to ourselves
Makes it easier to lie to others
We lie to our parents
We lie to our sisters and brothers
And the tracks are leading nowhere
And we'll get there fast
So fast
We'll never make it last
Not so fast
My thoughts keep getting derailed
Feel like I failed
I remember the old days
Before I was born
OK, I don't remember them that well
I'm lying to you, can't you tell
Just swell
Nobody takes the train anymore

This was just some free writing that sounded good to me. After reading it three times I started to hear REM and "Losing my religion". Maybe it's just me.
