What I'm Trying To Say

Darling what I'm trying to say
Is that you have me falling like the rain
Pooling puddles on linoleum floors
Hungry for more like I've been starved
You have me tingling like electricity flowing
From you to me
Negative extremities are going numb
I can't feel my sadness
From the positive charge

Baby you restore me like a hobbyist restores an old car
But it's not a hobby for you, it's like, I'm your passion
And I'm ready to meet the road
Wheels screaming
I'm spinning, I'm dizzy from the fuel
Love's the sweetest fume
I want our portrait to be like the Earth And The Moons
Tidally locked forever facing
The one they love
You look at me like a treasured keepsake
Like an adorable kitschy painting
Slightly out of place within a stunning home decor
Like "I love that"

I suppose what I'm trying to say
Is that I love you like every falling grain
Within life's hourglass
And if life has taught me anything
It's that : there is no such thing as "good without bad"
Like, the motor carrying us forward may falter
But with proper care and attention
We will make it to the next rest stop
And if I have to fashion and attach a sail
I'll recite these words until we're happiness  bound

I love you
I love you
I love you
I love you
I love you
