The Moment of Our Coming

Deep inside a wholesome thread
began to pull out hearts.
Could we see from a light within
spread across our dark?

Shared thrusts are not for taking
but in sending pleasures forth.
Our love was born in righteousness
with bearings stayed true north.

Celebrate now my rising sun
pressing into your morning dew.
Most live quiet lives and never know
a love this close to true.

Our darkened room is not quiet,
it whispers and it stirs.
Two bodies mesh and from them rise
the lustful smells of myrrh.

There is no glimpse of hesitation
inside your longing eyes.
And, at the moment of our coming
love’s gifts are realized.
