The selfish One

I maintained a certain structure a man should always carry about himself.

I made sure before you stepped you knew I had your back.

You showed me something I wasn’t prepared to endure.

The crown became yours before you knew you had it.

I took your words as of they were blood promises.

You knew you had my affection & you chose to play mind games.

I became your machine against anyone who spoke ill to you.

As you lay in the past time has made you aware of your wrongdoing.

The chance to seek me out, will  prove to be futile.

       (A machine you wouldn’t recognize)
