(un)known destinies of words  (+Spoken Word)

... they traveled across fields
of such mossy green
being blown along
by the softest breeze
floating higher
and  h i g h e r
into skies
bluer than her eyes
when she whispers
and sighs

Ohh, These words

have fought wars
upon wars
and have seen
those scars,
the kind
with lasting memories
of the weary
and wicked
the battle torn
and the righteous hordes
of all those
not as lucky as I

Yes, These words—

show their character and gumption
in a respected struggle
to find strength
from the corners of darkness
then drag it, if need be
with power from millennia earned
towards the palest light
of wonderment

Finally,
These words

that made their way
from the very bang
of the biggest sort,
as precious commodities
that God herself cradled
and out of the mouths of babes
they are brought forth—

                  [my not so impervious heart
                      weakens and contracts]

as these
words...

~have come home.
