Wrapped in Each-Others Arms

Wrapped in Each-Others Arms

The intoxicating allure of sleep approaches
As I slowly drift in and out of darkness
I cling to her, my arms wrapped around her body
My fingers entwined in her hair
Her feminine smell

The weight of her body against mine
The soft rhythmic sound of her breathing
It all serves to make me feel whole
I lick the soft, warm flesh of her neck
Tasting the salt of her skin

She stirs, feeling the warm moisture
It contrasts sharply with the cool, dark air of my bedroom
My lips gently press up against hers invitingly
She returns the kiss, her eyes half closed
Sweet weight of her form pushed up against my own

While my fingertips slink over her thighs
Darkness soon envelops the, both of us.
We’ll wake in the late afternoon
Wrapped in each, others arm’s
The suns bright rays blocked by the drawn shades

And defy responsibility by sleeping still
Never having to worry as I lose myself in her arms
As the blankets envelope the both of us
I sink into warmth and security
And I am completed

Knowing that I'm not alone
