Crawling Around

Crawling around, you want me on my back
The dogs are hounding me for all that I lack
Let me touch the gold, mine is not for sale
Let me writhe here in a naked sweat for a while
You should make me sick, but you make me smile
But all you do is defile me

Clawing at the past with a bent persuasion
To be something that I’m not, a deviation
From everything I should want to need to be
Me is not I and she is not me
You should let me go, but you make me grieve
And all you do is decry me

Claiming me, you want my bones
Making me lost, making me alone
Let me taste, let me touch what I yearn for
Let me press you just a little bit more
You should make me sick, but you make me desire
But all you do is deny me

Coming close to me, your breath on my neck
Want to break it, but in weakness I forget
Let you sink your teeth and drain my life
You want my love, you twist the knife
You should kiss my feet, but you burn my soul
And all you do is drown me
