Happy Birthday Part Two

I don't want to 'win you over' or just be your friend 
Because its always another goodbye in the end 
Perhaps I'm addicted to love, Or trapped up in its thrust 
Maybe I just want to be one of the demons you trust 

Even though I am truly flattered with your time and effort 
Maybe I'm to scared to give you that pleasure 
It's all about give and take 
But what if I'm not willing to trade 

Although you are distant 
I have will power, and impulse comes with resistance 
But you change that about me 
Everything about you speaks loudly 

So really why can't I give you a happy poem 
After all it is your birthday, so maybe I owe you one 
But do I have any happy memories 
Or do we both have just obscene stories
