A beautiful gift
You came to me
Like the mist after
A summer rain
An impossible dream
Meant for someone
Other than me
You breathed life
Into this shadow of a man
Who was drowning
In life's pain
You gave me reason
Gave me meaning
Gave me purpose
Gave me cleansing
Now I can't wait
To see the sun rise
I was fading
But you heard my cries
Now everyday is
A beautiful gift from you
When you're by my side
Life is something I can't refuse
