ONE OF THE THIRD
I'm one of 'the third'
who go to bed nuuhd,
not donning PJ's
at the end of days
but hit the sack peeled,
as survey revealed.
Go into the night
with bits out of sight
under the covers
(lone or with lovers),
tasting the freedom
from clothes. (Who needs 'em?)

A fun take on news that a survey by a bedding company (who else?) reveals that one third of adult Brits go to bed naked.

Hahahaha! I love this! Didn't know this about the Brits and it makes me wonder about us Americans. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind reading my poem called "Writing In The Nude."
I would certainly be interested to read the poem. (See it's not yet on the list of poems you have posted.) Some of my own poems were written in a way taking after Victor Hugo and Jilly Cooper (who in her case wrote outdoors).
I suppose a nightwear survey on the same thing in the States might be interesting reading - suspect most nude sleepers would be from the sun belt as well as those in colder regions but fortunate to afford central heating.

writing in the nude
i always wake up very early
and sit up in my bed
i reach for my wireless keyboard
and type what's in my head
yes, i love to write my poetry
which i would love to sell
i'm sitting here writing in the nude
but promise you won't tell
