the bright mind” I found this phrase particularly note worthy.
hair color aside or no hair at all, I’ve been noticing the older and crankier I’m getting the more I surround myself with people who actually have something to say. When I think back to some of the vapid people I thought were “bright”... I cringe in my own stupidity. 😏
Perhaps with age and grey hair (Clairol, but I’ll never admit that) comes wisdom? Wonderful ode to the thinking persons hair. 👩👩🏻‍🦰👩🏻‍🦱👩‍🦳👳‍♀️

Like in the picture, the blonde with the dark roots!  The "State of Mind" blondes apparently are quite common here on the left coast  : )

As your poem suggests, you must look deeper  to know what the person really is.

Wonderful piece Kristina. I think as we progress in society and everyone becomes more aware of the old stereotypes (blonde jokes, etc.) we begin to see and understand the beauty and emotion behind each person (regardless of color/race/religion/etc.)

Thanks Wally, that is so true and beautifully said. There is so much beauty and emotion if we take the time to see it. I have met  so many incredible people and I was fortunate to go to some very  off the beaten places when I was growing up. I met some really amazing people. 👱🏼‍♀️💋
