Interchangeable

Could there be
three phases
of life
which can be
 interchangeable
and they all depend
on how much control
one has
on ones mind
 One can live
in fertile lands
where one can grow
open minded
self reflective
using ones mind
to sow the seeds
of a little reasoning

But together
these are not enough
one needs
like all things
that grow
A Defence
to protect it

Even in the scrub lands
where growth
is bitter
stunted and twisted
where one wrong move
one mistake
on ones journey
to the fertile lands
one will be
cut off at the knees
beaten with sticks and stones
and what ever one had
now lays
in Ruins
as ones life
is bleeding
from these wounds
they tie you to the stake
to be burnt
in our
global town square
it is their defence
to make you stay
in their twisted bitter
dog eat dog
perceived world

Barren lands
Are the worst
miles upon miles
as far
as your eyes can see
fortified comfort zones
built upon low mountains
made from molehills
balanced upon
splitting hairs
in their vain dreams
of changing our world
no matter the cost
to fit their
Eager to please
Those
who want to hold
A Leash
on every
