Find Out More
much like the shameless sun
which sets withought the slightest twinge of remorse
you shall press hearts like spring flowers
in a book, steadily decorating its chapters
at most a glimmer of color
your only farewell

Dear Umm, many months separate your poems and they are always worth the wait. This is beautiful poem. I love the relationship you created between the Sun's color dives in below the horizon and the colorful flowers disappearing in a books pages. I love this passage,
"ste(a)dily decorating its chapters"
I see that as a lifetime of colorful experiences saved in the pages of life's book
Bravissima, Goddess ❣️❣️ 🌹

Your imagery propels the intimacy felt, in this beautifully tender write. It's so lovely and visceral. I love your artwork it ties it together so perfectly.
I'm glad I came across reading this today
and I thank you for sharing,

I liked the other title too. terms of the form I think there’s a technique in the art world where strokes are layered atop each other, I think consciously or subconsciously you’ve kinda done something similar here
must agree with Bluevelvet above, you paint a vivid picture with your words. I hope you’re ok
well done with this one

You bid farewell to love when it dies then you get up on the horse to find love again. Keep on writing.

I messaged you yesterday kind of on a whim, without knowing you had posted something. Rather poignant image in its focused brevity, with a subtle nuance of feeling and presence of time. Nice work.

The sun is a powerful means to life. It watches over us, keeps us warm, and lights our way.
This seems to be how the subject (the person not the books deviding points - ha) is perceived here - as someone with knowledge or guidence.
And yet, there is no dedication of fanfare I perceive. No real goodbyes. Sometimes it just goes that way until many years later.
Poe was never really big until years later. That's the feel I get out of this.
Nice one, Umm. 😁

Good ol' Umm. 😁 When my mother died we found a book with old flowers put on the inside chapters. This reminded me very much of that. Nice poem and great art work. 🌺

reads like a brief farewell. Totally intrigued with the title. I making a reference to a person which may not be your original intent.
