Battles of an internal war

"Why are you so cheerful?" they ask .

Underneath the longlseeves you'd never know that I'm battling depression and my smile is merely a mask.

I spread kindness and let the happiness radiate off of me like heat from the sun.

I'm fighting an internal war and you'd never guess how many battles depression has won.
