The Chaotic Art of Liberty

- The Chaotic Art of Liberty -

Lately I have been having many thoughts entering into my mind, perhaps oft in ways I did not firstly expect, and the manner of my thinking has been very much like a bright spark journeying down a dark, black tunnel with but a pinprick of light in the distance to guide by. I have been trying to focus on that seemingly tiny bit of light, even though all around me the darkness is overwhelming in its' deep, velvet voluminousness. These words are the first I have written in seriousness in many long months... or has it been years?... since I last gave thought to how I feel about things. I look around me at the world today and it disturbs me, I cannot lie. So much hatred, so much violence, and so much cruelty and all of it without reason or dignified refinement. My hatred is reserved for those who treat others unjustly, and those who use their positions of power to act without compassion or rationality... and that is the least of the crimes I see being committed by people all across the world who lord it over others without even the slightest regard for the feelings of those they seem to regard as beneath them. I say this! Those who are in those positions now, will not be forever. All things come to their appointed ends, but one thing that can never end is the strength of the human will to overcome tyranny no matter the form it takes. I am sad to see the ways in which liberty and freedom are thwarted today... but I shall not say they are destroyed, for you cannot destroy such divine and noble concepts no matter how you make a mockery out of them. There will always be people like me, who see the truth and who love and understand the importance of freedom in all of its' wondrous diversity. And here we come to it! We NEED diversity in order to be free. Those wicked people I speak of, they wish to stamp out all diversity with their dull, boring and stagnant version of law. I have seen these types in so many places over the years... and in all of the places I have seen them, they have always been horrid individuals. Any law that deprives people of their liberties, robs men and women of their dignity, and reduces peoples' quality of life, is no law worth bowing ones' heart to. My heart is fierce, and it beats like fire! Independent and free, and there is no tyrant I will bow to that is greater than passion itself, and beyond that: love. Those in power have not the capacity for love, and so their passion is misguided, warped, and a thing as stagnant as their gray ideals and vain laws. Vain, I say, because I can see quite clearly that those in power are vain and it is in their vanity that they are most weak. Any laws built by such weak and vain creatures will fail and fall, and liberty will have its' way! For liberty thrives when it is made noble by the cause of freedom that those in power make a mockery of. They give lip service to it, but understand nothing at all of it.

There is a kind of chaos that is noble because it is not the destructive chaos born of anarchy but a kind of constructive chaos which is the source of all creativity in existence. I have oft said that I am a being of chaos, and this is what I mean when I say that: I am a being of uninhibited creativity. That means, I give my imagination free reign and allow my spirit to soar as high as it wishes to. This is the kind of sweet, undiluted chaos that is only possible through freedom and liberty! There is no creativity born of stagnant obedience to those unworthy of their power and positions. And so, I serve them not! Do I serve chaos? You might ask. Only in its' creative state... I create art through both art itself and words. And in that act of creation, I give something to chaos and it gives me something in turn. It gives me the joy of seeing something unique come into being that is totally born of my will. Free wills can create! Bound wills must break free of their bonds in order to be creative. And so I urge all who are able to, to awaken from whatsoever tyrannies in which they find themselves. Awaken, I say, and be free hence forth and forever! Never give up yearning for this, and when necessary fighting for it. The moment one gives up, then all is lost unless one if found again. I have not ever given up, although I have been lost more oft than I should like. It is not a small thing, to see with new eyes! And my eyes sometimes need to see with new sight in order to perfect my innermost being. In order to do so, one must comprehend that perfection is unattainable if it is your only destination. The journey must be the destination, and along the way sometimes perfection can be found through striving. But in order to understand it, one must realize that it is the act of striving that makes one worthy of perfection itself. And so, no matter what journey life takes us on, we must never give up on striving! For striving is a hallmark of true nobility. Not pomposity or arrogant swagger and bully-like posturing. Striving, for a worthy purpose.

I do not know what forces shaped my desire to commit these thoughts to written words tonight... perhaps the pain I feel when I see others in torment, or the pain I have felt when in torment myself. Perhaps the plight of my fellows where so ever they be... be they brothers and sisters to me because we share beliefs or hopes or dreams... or be they so because we are kindred in spirit. It matters not! What matters, is that their plight concerns me, and the plight of all humanity by extension. We are at a dark point in human history right now! But words can be a beacon as surely as a light in a black tunnel of oppression can. Words can make noble the spirit and ignite the imagination to great heights of wisdom, knowledge, and glory. I try to make my every word shine, and I do not always do so... but I do strive to. And methinks that is why I was made to feel that tonight it was important that I write these words you see before you. I heard a man say once: “Why do people no longer say and do great things?” I will tell you why in one word: fear. People have been conditioned to be afraid to be great. They have been conditioned to lack ambition and to cease to strive, so that those in power can suck their creativity from them and leave them broken and malleable, and easy to lord it over. I am not bound by such conditioning, and no one needs to be. No one should be! Although many, many today are. Many are in bondage and in need of freedom's bounty! None more so than those who are at the mercy of people whose idea of freedom has warped itself into fascistic perverseness. I strive for my words to resonate... I do not attempt to make of them more than they are, for to do that is to make less of a thing than it aught to be. I merely speak the truth, and allow the truth to shape itself about my words. I do not fear to say what is true as many do, and so I write what I speak, so that I may give hope to those who have need of it most. Can words be art? They can, if creativity makes them beautiful. I hope you find these words beautiful, dear reader, because nothing is more beautiful than liberty and it is that which informs my words this evening. Liberty, and creativity itself... therefore art, by extension. Art can be anything, and anything can be artistic if we allow it to be so! Words, images, a lifestyle or a deed... all such tings can be regarded as art. I have tried, for my whole life, to present myself as a living work of art, a conduit of creative chaos, the living embodiment of all that I believe philosophically and otherwise. And I have presented myself to words as such, and shall always continue to do so! And in doing so, I give myself as a gift to those who can receive it and my words I do make gift of likewise.

More than ever in this climate of stagnation, I strive to stand out and be unique. Ever the individual... and ever seeking to aid others in achieving the same drive and zest! Diversity is the beauty of the many colored rainbow, and creativity itself encompasses colors beyond the vibrancy of the senses if we but take the time to notice the glory of it all. This is what evil people would see crushed! But is shall never be so, for creativity is like life... it finds a way. Just as does diversity. Just as does art. No one is more a child of constructive chaos than an artist... and I hold it to be a great honor, that I have contributed to the great tapestry that is art itself, no matter how small or great my contributions may be or have been themselves. No art is without its' place in that tapestry! And no artist who is truly creative could be aught but a part of art's great tapestry. The same can be said for all who create without boundaries. And I have always believed, and said, that one should live as they create. Thus, the boundaries that evil people try to erect shall always be torn down, oft before even a single stone can be laid. I say this to you, my brothers and sisters, and dear readers... boundaries are but lines on paper, and do not exist from the way that birds (and the gods) see the world. And, of course, the multiverse beyond the mere confines of any one, single world. I have seen beyond, and if all could do the same then there would be many who are slumbering who would truly awaken, perhaps never to be cast asleep again! It is not a special thing, to see thus. Anyone can. Everyone can! They merely need the desire and the will to. That is what I want everyone to know – that we ALL have power, not just those with money or titles. All who live, have power. The power to create, to stand out, to be unique and thus to be free! I do not write these words for myself. I already know them to be true. I write them for those who might not know them, or who might be just beginning to feel the foundations of it all in their hearts. Words have power.

And so, yes, words are a form of art! Some create beauty with their words, whilst some create ugliness with them. I strive for beauty, as I do in all things. We are not what others tell us we are... we are what we do. What we present ourselves to be. What we embrace! Our ideals, our thoughts, our feelings, our emotions, our spirits, our souls, and everything that emerges from those aspects of ourselves. All who live, are complex. Nothing that lives, is without complexity. One is never more truly oppressed, than when one ceases to understand this simple truth of life – that life is meant to be diverse because life is complex and ever multi-faceted. Part of awakening, is in seeing with new eyes, and that can be as simple as beginning to see the glory of life itself in all of its' forms. It is hubris to believe that humanity's form is the only one that exists, when all around us there are infinite forms of life and intelligence that have their own ways of regarding things. One day, a great veil shall be pulled back and people will look to their neighbors and see that the most familiar faces were but masks and beneath those masks are beings of such magnitude and diversity that it would be shocking to fathom how any shell of flesh could have contained it. And yet our flesh does.... for has it not been said that many have entertained angels whilst unaware! This is why bigotry is not just a sin... it is against the very nature of the universe to be held back by prejudice. And those who are bigoted and prejudiced are held back and cannot evolve beyond their narrow minds. It is only when a person opens their eyes and minds alike, that true understanding can begin. If you cannot understand why it is important for your fellow human beings to be different, to be themselves, and to have the right to do so... how would you be able to comprehend what else exists in this multiverse! And to fathom how different, different forms of life can be. To marvel at its' mysteries, and to be humbled by its' wonders. This thing, we call life. This is why liberty and freedom, I say, are the birthrights of all, and must never be allowed to be lessened! I have been the victim of hate. Of prejudice. But I have been been defeated or vanquished by it... I have risen, and I have transcended. I am as the phoenix which rises from its' own ashes only to be reborn in greater glory than before... and to all who have been hurt by others as I have been, I proclaim this to you: you too can be as the phoenix. In doing so, we are no longer victims! We are glorified, merely by the act of living well, being who or whatsoever we wish to be regardless of those who have wronged us... and in achieving new radiance and new splendor in spite of pain pains. One is only limited by their own self-imposed limitations... but all limitations can be risen above and beyond. It is merely the art of finding the way, that makes it possible! And there are many ways, and many arts. Mine is one, and there are countless such! These words you see before you, are what I give to those who come to me in search of enlightenment. And they are but some of the words I give... I give countless more, and have written poems, stories, and treatises over the years on innumerable subjects. But tonight... tonight, I write of these matters, for I sense them to be of importance in the grander scheme of life today. Take them to your heart, cherish them, and receive them with love, as they are given.

Why post these words on a site dedicated to art? Because art is about inspiration and creation, about how those things derive from the liberty and freedom in which inspiration and creation thrive. With these words, I seek to inspire those who read them and have need of them. I know that not everyone can receive such words, but as with all art it is a matter of taste. Those who crave a certain taste will of course appreciate it more than those who do not find it to their liking. And so, as with all my writings, I pen what I do for those who do find it to their liking! That is how art is presented, always. And, as I have said, there are many arts... for art is like life, it takes innumerable forms and each is beautiful to someone, somewhere, at some point in time. One day, should that veil I spoke of earlier be lifted, you will see what lies beneath the mask of flesh that I wear as well. I will hope in that moment, that you will find me beautiful... for ever, that is how I have presented myself to be and strove towards. But this night, I am content in sharing what comfort I can through these words to those who might lack comfort. I have known the bitterness of oppression. I have tasted pain. And I have been in darkness. Yet here I am, my inner light and flame undiminished. Let your light shine likewise! For this last truth is vital...

Where one light shines, other lights may crop up thereafter. One beacon can signal the brightness of many! And before long, darkness is overcome. It all begins with one step, one word, one change in one life. And before you know it, greatness is achieved! Not through arrogance, nor pomposity, nor posturing... but through truth, through love, and through understanding as well as through one of the greatest forces of all: creativity. May whatsoever you seek to create, dear reader, be infused with light and glory! Never stop striving, for life is a journey and each step on the way contains a universe to explore and marvel at. Love, Light, and Illumination be with us eternally.

Blessed Be!

Yours humbly, with empathy and understanding...
