Works of Flesh

Some swear all works of flesh are sin, but some should be embraced.
Why should we not now occupy our sacred human place?
The works of flesh are manifest in bodies of creation,
so let us live our lives by the love of flesh persuasion.

Some cower in their nakedness or try to hide their flaws,
but together in our wisdom we violate illicit laws.
As we tangle flesh with flesh our cords become the drive
that binds us up in pleasure, adding meaning to our lives.

Rejoice now naked skin to skin and the pressing of our tongues.
What measures of the holy we surrender rung by rung?
Linked now as one flesh in pleasure, pursuing ancient calls.
Our vows we are renewing now as a part of creation’s fall.
