Monday Monday what a thrill
Waking up with such a chill,
weekend past the fun no more
against the current row that oar,
autopilot back to work
try to look much undeterred,
wishing well the coming week
hope it is a bit oblique,
so what I do for Monday blues?
so to get the best of news?
Open up one of your shoots

I had the tune for “Friday I’m in love” by The Cure in my head as I was reading this. You could almost kind of singalong to it in a strange sort of way.
I liked the progression of time throughout the poem and how that was relatable in terms of love.
