The 21st Century "Rush, Rush" life in the fast lane is a major contributor to stress, anxiety, and frustration all of which are taking a toll on our health and happiness. In a psychology class, we were assigned to go and sit in an empty room with only bare walls and no other furniture and just think for two hours. It was tough. Why? Because we were always on the "go, go" treadmill, keep moving, etc. A colleague of mine once said, "I can't face and master today's busy challenges if I don't meditate at least an hour every morning." Well I do love your 'rambling' Oral. So ramble on... I find yoga very meditative but I should try doing some other forms. Also, cycling, hiking, and such things as well. And sometimes driving but when I really get into deep thought I tend to speed, I mean really speed. lol

I feel like a crumb today I didn’t read all the afore comments. I have no idea if I’m copy catting but...I found such a measure of comfort from your poem in the notion that should we take a beat and quiet our racing minds answers or ideas will present themselves to us. Which is so great- if only I would pay attention to that sage wisdom! I’m the worst. I spend a majority of my day worrying about problems over which I have little to no control until I either go shopping or pass out exhausted from these fruitless negative energies. There was a softness in this piece that was particularly appealing. A gentle coaxing to slow down take a breath and listen to your inner self. Lovely write! 🌷

Like a crumb. lol I like that. I don't think you have to worry about ever being a copy cat. Your comments are always amazingly insightful. With all the noise and chatter these days it's easy to not hear that inner voice, or any voice. I can certainly identify with the worrying and anxiety but for the most part I don't like shopping, I gravitate to exercise to try and quiet things. :) I do love that you felt a softness and heard the message to slow down, take a breath, and listen to yourself, to nature, and all of the other things around we so often ignore instead listening to chaos, noise, and strife. 🌻🌞❤️

Beautiful Kris.  I read as a whole seeing that's how one would start.  I tried to read separate but it didn't work as well.  The 1st stanza I feel can stand alone amazingly, yes leaving it in a negative place but that's okay well for me.   I'm not sure how I would feel about picking up just on the 2nd stanza, I will never know because the first one is there.  All together just perfect.

I agree the first stands alone better than the second, possibly with a slight change it would work better too. Still, I am really glad you thought all together was perfect. Let's go with that. ;) 🌻🌞❤️ Thank you so much for the comment and giving me your thoughts. I appreciate it so much.

It's a constant struggle between those two, eventually the answers are within, we just have to let our conscious mind hear it.
