dire affinity there is none like me
tender morality, I love simply
the darklings hunt
insidious hunger they have no misgivings

I question everything
it makes me strange
I am of a royal heritage
but to my mind, my origins remain a mystery

if we believe in the alpha and omega
then he was the first
he has a golden kingdom
he made angels to guard
but I wonder against what or who?

I'm left with the feeling some of the truth is missing
that there is something else out there
my mind is scarred by the things that happen in this world

my eyes are opening and I realize
we are not all of the same material
our origins must be different

my conclusion this is a very dangerous world
