Green with envy....
I am green with envy sometimes
When I see these chefs, young and old
Prepare all sorts of dishes
from the most exotic and
Seemingly totally intricate
To the most basic of salads
As they stand in kitchens
Worth tens and tens of
Thousands of dollars
And equipped with the latest
And most expensive knives,
Cauldrons, pots and pans
And everything else
Ya, green with envy, but then
Not so much as I stand in my ordinary
Kitchen, preparing my own
Spaghetti Bolognaise
Cooked on a regular stove
And to be enjoyed with garlic bread
And a green salad on the side.
Bon appétit.
