Hunger Moon Breathing

upon late Winter’s horizon
blushes the Hunger Moon;
she rests among sleeping skeletons,
inhaling all that remains
of her Sun’s faded, drowsy glow
~just so she may whisper truly
to his fevered brow ~
exhaling her glittered starlight
on long, cool breaths

Author's Note
Inspired by this piece of graphic art I made in a Corel class that I found while arranging old art folders on my laptop. Tonight, I watched the Full Hunger Moonrise and it was beautiful. This felt fitting for a lot of reasons.
