There’s a lot in this poem that hurts. Every time I read it I have the same catch in my breath and dang those tears. All the best in the comp. Great write. H🌷

Thank you, Honoria!  The comp asked for big guns and this felt like an emotion most people could relate to.  

These three line are carrying a great deal of weight, on one hand I can read as payback and in your face, the other hand I can read it as only being said because of a deeply missed connection  and said with sadness, that's the mark of great poetry. Thank you for sharing.
