A Single Drop

A single drop of water
Meets it's own
Collected
Added to the pool

It's unsettling at first
Vibrant vibrations
Until it all settles down
Smooth

A mirror in wait
Held within by erosion that embanks
Goliaths reaching for the sky
Dip their toes

Algal bloom rim
Riffles slightly
Held together if by hand
It dances still

Midnight pond
So sacred
Gemstone reflection
Canopied in drooling leaves

Another
Another breaks the surface
They dance from it's reception
Until they hold their embrace

A single tear collects
Along the tip of my nose
The thought I'm not apart
It springs a single drop
Wiped before it falls
