The Beauty of Divinity Abhored

From the point of envy to that of your death
A jealous God betrays your many divinations

Stray clouds to burden the otherwise pretty skies
A darkness of wrath and oblivion

Whispered under a foreign horizon

Too pretty
Too petty

A fermentation of grace besets the greater good
A sacrifice of pride and rue

Violence adorned the crown that made you
That wailing star that lit all your beauty aflame

Long since left to ash and cinders
A kiss to appease the sordid fallacies of those left ill tempered

At the sight of deliverance
At the plight of their own undoing

Garments strewn of lace and taffeta oppress the subtlety of your flesh

Paradise lost between your thighs

And I am jealous still
