To remember.

Do you remember?
I’m sure you do
Oh how you tease me
You enjoyed it too

Do you remember?
How it felt to you
I can still see your face
Oh you, so sadly see through

Do you remember?
It was masquerade
Masks hid dark feverous need
While you tried to…what? Delay?

Do you remember?
How joyous it was
We laughed and giggled
Broke out in applause

Do you remember?
You looked so right
Scarlet so much your colour
Don’t deny you had a good night

Do you remember?
How it all played out
You didn’t see it coming
Because I played devout

I never looked too long
Fingers locked together
You thought I loved
The thing that was you

Do you remember?
How you bled across the floor
A pretty pattern
A memory for me to store

Do you remember?
I’m sure you do
Who forgets the night
The night they were murdered.
