Onions and avocados
There's such intrigue, anticipation...
Peeling the onion
one layer at a time
Each one going deeper
until there are no layers left
and all is known
But to anticipate an onion
and end up with an avocado --
At first it seems exciting
to get beyond that tough skin,
but then it's just a uniform greasy mess
and a dense pit.
Where's the intrigue now?

I loved this analogy....
Sooooo much.
I can relate completely. I often think that some people are like an infomercial for an as seen on TV product that you're all excited about and can't wait to try... you order it, finally get it in the mail and it's a total DUD!.. absolutely NOTHING like what you saw on TV.... not remotely!

This is priceless. The “banana people” are the ones that make me annoyed though. When you think you’re peeling the perfect banana because the skin isn’t all spotty or too green only to reveal some bizarre black spot half way down or worse, the tip is discolored and mushy! 🤢
You can’t trust that personality type no way no how.
